Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer
The Liavince Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer is a medical-grade device that utilizes infrared radiation to measure both human and object temperature without physical contact. For this purpose, simply point the probe of the device at the surface whose temperature is to be measured to obtain a fast and accurate temperature result.
Product information
Large measuring range
Body temperature measurement mode range: 32°C – 42.9°C (89.6°F – 109.2°F) Object temperature measurement mode range: 0 °C – 100 °C (32 °F – 212 °F)
Extreme precision
This product has met the European Union performance standards for infrared thermometers for measuring clinical requirements. The clinical repeatability measurement is no more than ± 0.3 °C (± 0.5 F).
Intelligent user interface and design
If the measured body temperature is below 32°C (89.6°F), the display will show "Lo".
If the measured body temperature is above 42.9°C (109.2°F), the display will show "Hi".
If the operating environment exceeds the design specifications, the display will show "Err".
If the battery power is insufficient, the thermometer will display a low power symbol.
If a hardware malfunction is detected, the "Err" sign will be displayed.
Power management
If no action is taken for more than 30 seconds after the thermometer is switched on or after the temperature has been measured, the thermometer automatically switches to standby mode.
Storage function
The memory can store up to 99 measurements. The memory then contains the measurement number, the mode and the measurement temperature.

How to use
Measurement on the forehead:
After about 1 second, the measurement is completed, a signal tone sounds and the measurement result is shown on the LCD display (see below):
- If the ambient temperature exceeds the range of 10 - 40.0 °C, the thermometer will display "Err".
- If the measured human temperature is higher than 42.9°C, "Hi" will be displayed; if the measured temperature is lower than 32°C, "Lo" will be displayed.
- If 32.0°C ≤ temperature ≤ 37.5°C, the backlight of the display will turn green; if 37.6°C ≤ temperature ≤ 42.9°C, the backlight of the display will turn red.
Selection of the measurement mode:
With this thermometer you can also measure the object (or ambient) temperature. To do this, press the "Ambient/Body Temperature Toggle Button" to select between the object or human body temperature measurement mode as described below, and then follow the instructions as described above.
- The device is a precision instrument. Avoid dropping the thermometer, trampling on it, or applying vibration or shock to the device.
- It is important to avoid touching the lens of the probe with your fingers and to not attempt to disassemble the device on your own.
- To ensure accurate results, it is recommended to rest for about 30 minutes at room temperature before taking a temperature measurement if you have recently exercised, eaten, or taken a bath.
- To obtain reliable and stable measurement data, please leave the device at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before use.
- To obtain accurate and reliable measurement data, it is recommended to wait for at least 1 minute before performing multiple measurements in a row. Temperature measurements can vary slightly. Therefore, it is recommended to measure at least three times in a row and then average these temperature values.
- There is no absolute standard temperature of a person. Therefore, please try to record the temperature of the person in a usual situation as a reference for possible fever.
- It is not recommended to measure temperature on areas of scarred or affected skin tissue, as it may result in inaccurate temperature readings.
- Some drug therapies can affect body temperature and thus affect the accuracy of temperature readings.
- It is not recommended to measure the temperature if the measured areas, such as the forehead, are exposed to direct sunlight, heat from chimneys, cold compress therapies, or air conditioning drafts. In such cases, please wait 30 minutes before measuring.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose it directly to the sun.
- When measuring, make sure that the measuring distance is between 1 - 6 cm.
- Before measuring the forehead temperature, it is important to remove any hat, cap, or other headwear and to ensure that the hair on the forehead is arranged in a way that will not affect the temperature measurement.
- Sweat or cosmetics on the forehead may affect the measurement accuracy. Please keep your forehead clean during the measurement.
- It is important to ensure that the LED light of the thermometer is not directed towards the subject's eyes during the measurement.
- The thermometer is not meant to replace consultation with a doctor or healthcare professional. It may be dangerous for the user to make self-assessment and self-treatment based on the measurement result. Always follow your doctor's instructions
- Keep out of the reach of children. Call a poison control center or doctor immediately if the battery or any other component is swallowed.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire. They must be recycled or disposed of properly.
- Do not expose the thermometer to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humid environments, flammable areas or areas prone to vibration.
- Remove the batteries in case the system is not being used for a longer period of time.
